Excel Red (7th Grade) competed in the Prep Hoops Next circuit in Minnesota this past weekend (5/8-5/9) at the “Battle at the Lakes” tournament.  This tournament brought teams from across the Midwest together for what led to some great competition.  Overall the team went 2-1 with a close 1-point loss in OT on Sunday.  The team was led by Caden Sorensen who averaged 23-points on the weekend (19, 23, and 27).  He shot a blistering 6/11  (55%) from 3-point range.  Caden resides in La Porte City and attends Union Middle School.  Great job to Caden and the rest of the Excel Red 7th Grade team on a solid weekend!
